General information
Check-in & Check-out
Your arrival: We welcome you between 4.30pm and 8pm. Please respect this time slot.
On the day of your departure, you must vacate your room by 11am at the latest.

The house and its spaces
L‘Ostal is an old barn dating from 1850 that was completely renovated in 2017-2018. We live in this house all year round and have dedicated a large part of the house to welcoming our guests.
On the 1st floor, the 5 bedrooms (from 25 to 40m²) can accommodate up to 14 people. They all have reversible air conditioning and a private shower room and toilet.
A lounge-library is also at your disposal. You have access to all our books, novels, comics, books, magazines… we thank you for taking care of them.
On the ground floor, the restaurant welcomes you for breakfasts, the bar and dinners. These meals are served outside on the terrace, weather permitting.
The terrace and restaurant are reserved for breakfasts, drinks and dinners. Picnics are not permitted.
The swimming pool is open from May to September from 9am to 10pm.
Guests wishing to leave their bicycles in a safe place can use the bicycle room.
The private, secure car park can accommodate one car per room at no extra charge.
For stays of several nights, please note that your room will be cleaned every day between 11am and 1pm. If the room is vacated within 20 minutes of this time slot, the room will be cleaned.

A few rules for living well together
- For the safety of people and property, only people with a reservation are authorised to enter the property.
- Smoking is not permitted in rooms, including open windows, or in public areas (lounge, restaurant, terrace, swimming pool, etc.). There is a smoking area outside (ashtray). Any infringement will result in a €75 cleaning charge for the room.
- The restaurant room and terrace are reserved for breakfast, bar service and dinner. Consumption of products purchased outside the restaurant is not permitted.
- For reasons of hygiene (dirt, odours, etc.), it is not permitted to eat in the bedrooms. There is a fridge in the lounge-library. We provide one bottle of water per room every day. If you need more, you can ask us. City water is drinkable. Please do not store personal drinks in the fridge. A small box is provided for each room (each box is marked with the letter corresponding to the OSTAL room).
- Children are under their parents’ responsibility for their safety and actions throughout the property.
- The foutas provided for the pool must not be taken outside. Their use is strictly limited to the pool. Please do not use towels for the pool.
Any accidental or deliberate damage by the customer will be billed separately. Key ring lost/not returned: €50
All eco-responsible

- Since 2020, we have no longer been distributing plastic water bottles, but instead reusable glass bottles. The water in the village is safe to drink, and what’s more, we filter it using a Berkefeld fountain. The bottles are filled by us, left in your room or made available to you every day in the small fridge in the library lounge.
- We no longer distribute individual toiletries, but dispensers have been installed on washbasins and in showers. The gel you will find in the showers is from Messegue Bio, for the body and hair.
- Hot water, heating and air conditioning: the oil-fired boiler has been replaced by a heat pump for optimum comfort. We ask you to use the heating and air conditioning sparingly, to turn off the lights when you open the windows, and to turn the heating down to 20°C in winter and the air conditioning down to 26°C in summer when you leave your room for the day.
- The Gard, like many other départements, may experience a water shortage from spring onwards. Please use this precious water sparingly. For stays of several days, if you would like your towels changed, please leave them on the ground.
- For our breakfasts and menus, we give priority to local and seasonal products and we fight against food waste.
Thank you for contributing to our efforts

At the height of the season, we strongly advise you to book ahead, especially for the restaurant in our village, Le Florès, which is in great demand and has built up a strong reputation since it opened in 2023 (report by François Régis-Gaudry of France Inter, listed on the Fooding website…). We are delighted that this establishment has opened just a few metres from the house. It’s part of the great experience you’ll have in our village.
